Jezerce, Croatia

Right now I’m sitting underneath a huge Coca-Cola umbrella as I’m typing, listening to the rain and getting goosebumps from the cooler air.  I’m slightly anxious about having my computer out, but as long as the wind doesn’t start blowing sideways, it will be safe *fingers crossed*.

About a week and a half has passed since I’ve landed in Croatia to sail the coast.  I couldn’t be happier to be off on my own and up in the mountains to see Plitvice National Park.  I’ve settled in a little village nearby called Jezerce.

I love the flexibility of not planning a trip – no worries of accommodations you’ve pre-booked, the opportunity to hop on a road-trip, switching your plans on a whim and landing five countries away.  Then subsequently laughing at yourself for being completely unprepared for the climate.  It’s spicy, romantic and mysterious.  The thought of unlimited possibilities is awe-inspiring.  It pumps adrenaline through my veins – and I’m just sitting here.  You have the whole world available to you – and you know it!

New Beginnings, Yet Again

It’s quite amazing how fast life switches.  There I was – starry eyed and quitting my corporate career to travel the world, which I did, and now I’m right back at the same location I couldn’t wait to leave!  Don’t get me wrong, that’s not a bad thing at all (surprisingly).

I spent all day Thursday getting rest in San Diego from all the excitement that occurred in Hawaii.  Friday afternoon my Aunt, Uncle, cousin and myself packed in the bimmer and took off for VEGAS!

In a short five days I managed to take two road trips, successfully surf on my own, do two hikes, become “the other woman” (unknowingly), see sea turtles, make new friends, and meet up with old ones from Florida that just so happened to be there at the same time!

Fiji Time

No Hurry No Worry

Fiji has been a short trip,  and one that I would have liked to extend.   In just one week I island-hopped to more than a handful of islands,  some which I probably won’t even remember the name of, and made wonderful memories with people around the globe.

Internet was sparse.  Stress was non-existent.  The locals were nothing short of wonderful.  And the fish? Well they’re friendly too!

Australia, you got me hooked

My very first initial impression of Australia left me rather disappointed.  With a blank slate in my mind the last thing I thought I would think of was America.  It felt like I was back in the States!  Honestly that’s the last place I want anything to feel like. That’s why I left in the first place!

Inspiration is everywhere

Maybe it’s being stuck inside from all this rain in Malaysia that’s making me think.  Possibly over think.  As I go though slight panic attacks in my head about my impending journey home (not before a few more amazing stops along the way) I find solace in the fact that I’ve met so many inspirational people on this trip it really blows my mind.

I’ve lost track of the number of individuals that quit their well paid corporate jobs in search of something more meaningful.  

Paradise found in the Philippines

Since my last update, I spent some time traveling to Barcelona, Montserrat, Madrid, Toledo, and Athens.  I am currently in the Philippines and have spent the past week doing so with my family!  It has been a hectic few days leaving me as sick as a dog 😦  Ah well, I’ll survive and the places I managed to get to were amazing!  And the time spend with my family, especially my mom, priceless.

The first island on my list was Boracay.  This was done as a solo trip before I met up with my family.  I planned for five days
